Hi, i was wondering. what is the best and neatest way to modify a vl sedan back seat to fit a vl wagon?
If possible i would like to keep the arm rest.
I noticed this has been done before. There is a red rb25 vl wagon (HZRDUS) in a street commodores that mentions vl calais interior with modified back seat.
A VL sedan backseat isn't covered on the back (exposed foam), and "clips onto" the body. The wagon has an entirely different back seat with a metal back, and a mechanism that allows the seats to b lai9d flat. Maybe go to a wrecker and have a look, I think you'll find it's just easier to buy a wagon seat.

yeah i know the exact differences, what i'm asking if how do you modify the top half of a sedan rear seat to fit into the metal backing of the wagons rear seat. It's been done before i just want to know how. i've thought of a couple of different ways to do it but i want to do it which ever way is the least hassle. my wagon has series 200 interior so somehow i dont think i'll find a series 200 wagon rear seat because they dont exist. i doubt i could even find a sandlewood vl calais wagon rear seat without having to sell the wagon just to pay for it. only other option is a retrim or swap my interior for a good complete wagon interior.
i was lucky enough to get my wagon seat re trimmed in original S2 silver grey fabric..... bout 3m for a lil under $250 got the last the guy had.
no arm rest though but solid headrests in the back.
Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
