For those who are interested, my previously owned grey VL Berlina is up for sale in the next Auto Trader Magazine, and also there is a Feature Article in Street Commodores Magazine that is due out this coming Wednesday. The current owner is the one who advised me of this.
The car will be $16,000 firm. The main changes since I owned it are; Coulsen Seats, 20"x8" Black Rims, and Calais front end.
For those who are not familiar with this VL, a link is below of when I was selling it last year;

Street Commodores Mag is on sale now. For those who want a sneak peak or if you are not buying the mag, then you can see a current pic of the car on 20's on the street commodores website by clicking on current issue and flicking through pages.
I liked it better when you had it matt. Sans-Calais front. Regardless, 'twas alot of car for $17k, it's even more car now for less. 16k to run all but guaranteed 10s, roo or even e85 might tickle 9s...
I am tempted daily to get back into VL's and even buy this vehicle back. But my couple of mortgages take main priority for a change.
Huge 20's on VL's can sometimes make them look 4x4 spec unless lowered more than FE2, but then the times when you load up your mates, have a full tank and then put the foot down, this can certainly cause plenty of rubbing on the rear.
One member has asked me for owners details. So it may indeed go to a ct member.
Hopefully someone buys it and puts it onto the strip again. It is, yet again, great value for the asking price.

20's on early commodores are 100% for the appearance, therefore must also be slammed.

correct hahaa... just have to get the hammer out n knock the tnnel in so the tailshaft dont smash it on boost haha
A good rule of thumb has always been to not believe everything written in articles.
I have only quickly scanned over the article in St. Comm. mag as it was a mates copy.
One thing mentioned was that the car did a 10.80sec 1/4 mile on race fuel. I actually ran this time whilst owning the car and it was on BP Ultimate 98 pump fuel. The current owner has never ran a 10. While in my possession for 4 years, the car never saw a drop of race fuel.
Also, I was made aware at around Xmas time that the car was going to be up for sale in the new year. So all the talk of modifications etc isn't true as the car indeed went up for sale.
Has anyone contacted owner and is thinking of buying?
Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
another thing if anyone is thinking, when i was at overboost im pretty sure the owner was saying the head had issues because it had stock valves in it and they were starting to leak or something, anyway, from memory they caught it before there were any dramas, and when i was there they were talking of rebuilding the head propperly. eitherway the head is likely to be almost brand new and built tough, the guys at ovaboost dont do anything half arsed.

Some more info has come to hand. I found out today that for the now 15k, you also get the original seats and also two other sets of rims, which I can only imagine they would be the 5 spoke 17" Speedy's that I had on the car, plus the 15" pursuit rims that I also sold with the car.
Also, Im told that for $5,500 you can just buy the trans and engine which includes everything you see in the engine bay.
Many options, but whichever way you look at it......its an absolute bargain. If I was starting out again, I would snap this car up in no time.
I have seen this car rolling around the southwest sports centre during the week... Looks the goods and sounds great!
