drove my car friday night for about an hour to a location, was off for around 2-2:30 hours jumped in it and went for the drive home, all good no problems.
stoped past maccas to grab a bite and turned the car off for 5 mins while eating, went to start again and there was no start, all accesories were working, seemed to have plenty of power, jump start did nothing, engine not turning over on startup, couldnt hear anything when turning ignition on.
Had to get it towed, havnt even looked at it until today (couple days) just went out to see if she starts and it does....
anyone had similar problems and found out what the cause was?
Have not taken it for a drive yet just idled for 5 mins, turned off and back on and things seemed all fine
cheers

Yeah dude priming. Check that the ring on the ignition barrel is making contact with the key. Is it auto/man? Maybe neutral safety switch?

Yeah it is manual, and i did try both keys when it broke down and no bingo, and used original key yesterday when it started.
could it be if there was a issue with the immobiliser?

Sounds like immobiliser to me... if you didn't hear the starter motor click or anything yet your battery wasn't flat... sounds like your best bet

yeah how did you go preca8?
ive had this exact problem in mine, used to do it all the time so I bought a new key and had the contact point surrounding the ignition barrel changed, fixed the problem for about 3 weeks but started doing it again. only rarely tho, and normally starts after a few turns. every now and then just wont go and i'll leave it for halfa and come back and it'll start no worries first go.
havent done anything about it since cos unable to drive due to ankle surgery, would be good to know how u fixed yours
