depends i guess.the earlier vy clubys are 260kw or 265 from memory.i got a later one with 285kw. vy ss prices are rediculous. i had the choice of a black vy ss 6spd with exhaust with 180kms for $14000 but i purchased my late 03 model cluby,red,6spd,exhaust,150kms for $17,500 in the end i payed $3500 more..got the hsv with 30,000kms less on the clock and a better car in my opinion....... and $14,000 was cheap for an ss most were 15k+ but then again i only found 5-7 vy clubys under 20k

VY clubbies make more stock but put a full exhaust/tune on both and theyll make the same power. The 285 the sII clubby comes with is a bit of a bull**** figure too. Dont you already have an SS? and you wanted door stickers for it?

To me there's nothing special about sitting I'n a vy Ss it's rather boring on the inside. The vy/Vz hsv I's a different story thoe Power wouldn't see much of an increase and not much increase ontop for a Vz. What's a Vz Cluby 297kw?

VY SS = 235kw. The clubsport should easily beat an SS.

why do you need to know which is more powerful when your gonna work it and put door stickers on it anyway?

I think its a case of I'll pretend to have a VY SS that sits in the garage because I'm on my P's.. just like the Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4 Superveloce that sits in my garage until I can afford insurance for it... Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Early SS's were ls1. vz clubbys were LS2s. ---------- Post added 10-04-11 at 20:54 ---------- Yeah man vz clubbys are still going for a bit. High 20s, low 30s last time i checked.

The HSV just has a better exhaust and tune. If you were to mod both cars the same they would produce the same power. The only difference would be in the diff gears, which I'm not sure what the differences are, but usually HSV has shorter diff gears Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

i love it how people think im full of **** when i say i have a vy ss ? lol i just wanted to know as my mate thinks his clubby is so much better then my vy ss , and just wanted to see the truth about em . as for SHIZNT im not even going to answer what you said as theres no point, haha as i know what i own and i dont care if you beleave me or not , i was asking a question on witch is the better car basicly as iv got inaff money to cam my ss with a head package from hpf or i can go for the clubby thats all

Exactly the same engine, not a thing different. Its all in the tune and exhaust. The diff gears are even the same in those models. An optioned up HSV is a better choice as you get things like nice leather seats, good brakes, nice wheels etc out of the box. Mechanically/driveline wise they are the same but you have a nicer base to start with. Insurance will be dearer, but your going to be paying for it anyway. It really depends what you want to do with the car in the end.
