hey guys um gotta small prob that i just need some simple answers for first off installed an amp and 6x9 setup in my parcel tray was running fine but amp keeps going into protect mode.. im thinking this is because of the earth.is it ok to earth anywhere in the boot? and does this need to be on a bare metal surface eg no paint? all answers appreciated thanks

Anywhere in the boot will get the job done, shorter the better. But bare metal essential, must be very clean, use a grounding washer too

if u have a commodore u can take the bottom part of your back seat out n do it to where the seat belts are on the bottom or where the top part of the seat bolts up to, i have 2 0 gauge earths running off them Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Ive got a MDF block screwed though the back seat and the amps then mounted onto the MDF. Ive got a short earth cable with an eyelet on the screws into the MDF done up supertight. Get a wire wheel on a drill on some sand paper and get the whole area to bare metal
