April 2nd from 10am.
Mintaro mansion, (Approx) 2224 Melbourne-Lancefield Rd, Monegeetta.
(between Clarkefield & Romsey) Next door to the Department of Defence.
Green Box = Department of Defence.
Red Circle = Mintaro
Red Line = Melbourne - Lancefield Rd.
If you're coming from Melbourne way, Mintaro will be on your left.
If you pass the Department of Defence, you've gone too far.
Just letting everyone know that Mintaro is having a clearance sale on the above date, cars upon cars.
The cars have been sitting around for many many years, most will make perfect project cars,
others may just be good for garden ornaments (if the missus will let you).
I have no affiliation with the owners but I'm just posting this for those interested.
I'll post up more info prior to the sale, but here's just a short list of some of what is available for sale...
FJ Panelvan - missing front panels (Has 'F.Watkins Butchers' original sign writing along the sides)
FX Ute - mostly complete, missing some panels and driveline.
Late 20's Dodge chassis. + other 60's model Dodges.
Commer van
Valiants
60's model Mercedes'.
Morris', Humber's, Cortina's, old trucks, tractors + lots of other stuff.
100 plus cars. (Parts, dragster bikes etc.) (Some very rare cars)
As far as I'm aware the mansion will be open as well as I've heard it's being restored
and certain unwanted items will be up for grabs. It's not in the best condition
but a great looking place and well worth a look. Built in 1882 as a small replica of Melbourne's Government House.
I'll try and answer any questions anyone may have.
Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

It isn't that far Blu3-Vl, about a 2 hour drive from the South East,
but it'd be well worth it.

Oh, and btw...the mansion really isn't much to look at! It's all cracked up and falling apart, roofing is collapsed etc...

Yeah, the owner has mentioned it's being restored room by room.
Although I get the feeling things are being cleared out to demolish the lot...
I'll find out if the National Trust know anything, in the mean time...
I've been supplied with this link to images of some of what is for sale.

You don't have to have Facebook to view the link. (I don't have Facebook and can view it.)

I've provided the address and map for those interested.
The reason I wrote approx 2224, is because that's what it is according to Google Earth.
However it's very easy to find.

02-04-11, 15:35 GMT+10#12 I was there today and most of the cars were beyond restoring, but was good to walk around the property.
The house needs alot of work but is quite fixable,it has been heritage listed from the 1970s so it will not be pulled down.
The owner passed away last October.
