My new girl so to speak She's a bit molested but future plans will get her back to factory these sort of VL's you really just want to leave them original as they are RARE now & becoming a collectable car....Pic's are not the greatest sorry but gives you a idea Enjoy Factory L.S.D,LW5,MX7,GM3 & Sunroof Drive line is very good 232,000km's sadly no logbook history. http://img714.imageshack.us/i/vlcal1.jpg/ http://img577.imageshack.us/i/vlcal2.jpg/ http://img215.imageshack.us/i/vlcal3.jpg/ http://img222.imageshack.us/i/vlcal4.jpg/ http://img651.imageshack.us/i/vlcal5.jpg/ http://img156.imageshack.us/i/vlcal6.jpg/ http://img848.imageshack.us/i/vlcal7.jpg/ http://img847.imageshack.us/i/vlcal8.jpg/ http://img850.imageshack.us/i/vlcal9.jpg/ http://img101.imageshack.us/i/vlcal10.jpg/ http://img707.imageshack.us/i/vlcal11.jpg/ http://img29.imageshack.us/i/vlcal12.jpg/ Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

do you have build sheets? without build sheets, order sheets, and some kind of history theres no proof its not just another "original 5sp turbo calais with factory sunroof and factory intercooler/bt1 pack" regardless though, cant see much from the pics but it ticks all of the right boxes, some housekeeping here and there and will no doubt be a good example, even if its not RARE.

Built plate state's that it's a legit 5 speed Calais Turbo all number's match defently no rebirth....The rarer VL's will be collectable like mine goodluck finding a genuine Calais Turbo 5 speed with Sunroof.

so... no build sheets? finding a good condition calais turbo is no small task these days, so congratulations for that. how do you know the sunroof is a factory item? a sunroof is a sunroof but an original sunroof is better. however i would probably double/triple check to make sure it is genuine before the whole thread on the rareness. tbh right now i am keen on seeing some good pics taken with a camera in some daylight, because it looks like it may well have been a pretty good buy.

Very nice find. What type of seats are they with the holes in the head rest. series 2? Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

holes = "series 1" no holes = "series 2" there were differences in stitching etc etc.

thats right no exact series 1 and 2, just changes, some pretty interesting ones to. i got a late model calais cluster (grey dots) and it has a low coolant light but no low petrol light, one i had never seen before. but back ont the car looks good mate, i would consitter it pretty hard to find a genuine vl calais turbo manual, sunroof, and red interior.
