A call to arms, a bit excessive but I hope it got your attention. Telstra have announced they will close another regional center, 114 jobs lost in this country town, some of the jobs from this centre will be taken up by a super centre in Melbourne and the rest going offshore to the Philippines!!!! This regional call centre in Moe is the highest performing centre in Australia meeting all and more of what the company asks! Yet still their jobs are being sent overseas. Moes call centre has the capacity to employ over 400 people as it has in the past, and the loss of the centre will be devastating for the local community and telstras customers who will have to now listen to overseas operators using fake American accents which frankly as an Australian I take as a big f-ing insult!!! Ok enough of the rant and I'm now asking for your support. The following email address is telstra ceo's, David Thodey. In support I ask that you email him, ask that he reverse his decision and express your disgust at his decision to axe 114 Australian jobs from an area that clearly needs them then spit in the face of all Australians by sending jobs overseas! I want his inbox to be swamped by emails so he can't ignore the fact that Australia won't support this decision.* Plz spread the word [email removed]
