I don't know if its technically a chip but Pringles are delecious and once your car pops it won't stop!
Dude this has been covered many times. There is no such thing as chip unless your talking about Nistune which is a modified Standard ECU.

i got a chipped na ecu, tbh dude its more trouble then what its worth, i mean yeah gave me like an extra 10rwkw but the car over fuelled at low rpm etc not mention its a bit of a pain in the ass to do, as you have to play with your computers motherboard, you can have the chip for nothing if you want to try it up to you but

BUMPING THIS FOR FUTURE READERS !!!!
i have had a ebay chip fitted and ran for bout 2000k. finally got it for a dyno check and it was running real dangeros air fuel ratios.
so now i have a removable chip(dunno brand) but has 1000 retunes on it and what the tuner does is get a base dyno reading, remove chip and puts into laptop chip holder adjusts ignition and fuel map(seperatly) and back into car ecu and dyno check. 8 runs later and my na is at 111 rwkw and 360 nm and runs smooth as through revs.
but i have just got a holset hx35 !!! muwahwahhahaha

There has to be a reputable off the shelf RB30 chip for stockers out there somewhere that doesn't sacrifice too much fuel.
They can't be all cheap and nasty shonks.

26-11-13, 19:55 GMT+10#10 I've been involved with both Nistune and off the shelf chips/memcals.
personally, in the long run, Nistune is the go if future mechanical engine mods are likely.
in the short term, cheaper option is a recalibrated or chipped ecu which I offer to those with specific mods to their engines.
some brands that aren't worth the money are from ebay like Txx100, Rxmxp, anything that has Stage 1, Stage 2, stage 3, or whatever sticker on it.
Some chips do work well if designed for your application but most don't and aren't, as they weren't reprogrammed/recalibrated to suit your specific mods.
Often the supplier will state you must use only use Premium 98 and have an exhaust and air pod mods etc because all they have done is add ignition timing across the whole tune which leads to detonation if you use any other fuel. some even do as others have stated and actually pull fuel out because most RB's run rich from factory. There is a really good reason for this that is often overlooked by tuners.
I've extracted tunes from the Jap company Mxnxs, their tunes are no better than standard when used with Australian pump fuels.
NA chip tune = 1psi gauge boost pressure.
often you give the engine 6-20psi.
