hey guys iv had a quick crack at getting the fan control to work and it does really work all that well, well the fan speed works but not vent selection it sort of half ass't ly comes out of all of them really slow. some spastic in coburg years a go decided to pull all the vacuum hoses from the back of the control never told me and the rest is history. all the hoses are black no markings, i can only find 5 of them ? the back of the control has 7 - 8 ports open and 2 with caps iv tried putting the 5 in all sorts of orders, made no difference ? really all i want is to get the front dimister vent working so i can see out the window in colder weather , any ideas on where to start.

There are only 5 hoses, without labels on the hoses it makes it more difficult to put them in the right order. There is a thread on here somewhere which tells you which ports are connected and which are banked, unless you feel like tracing the path of all your hoses it's a bit hit and miss I guess. Perhaps if you have an air compressor you could blow in the ends of some of the hoses like the vacuum ball next to the bumper. See which hose at the air con controls has air coming out of it, then label it with a number according to the aforementioned thread. If you could do that for enough hoses it might make your guessing game easier.

im pretty sure #4 is the manifold suction one, so when u turn your car on and u feel the suction coming out of one hose, put that on 4 that will fix that up.. (all i can remember, i have a printed diagram off a mate somewhere.. im pretty sure the ports that are used are 3 4 5 7 9 but could be wrong also, but its a start if your car has that hose off, will it run rough?? like a manifold leak??
