King Springs Question

i went to dandy exhausts and i asked for a set of SSL front springs for a VS V8 and the guy there tryed convincing me that SL's for a VS V8 sit the same as SSL's do in a vs v6 so ive bought the SL's and i cant be bothered fitting them and then if there not right taking them out again he said to me if i wasnt happy with them to bring them back and he'll swap em, so i would just like to know your thoughts, opinions and past experiences. cheers
