Just wondering how hard it is to convert a twin turbo T28's vl to running a single T28 because obviously my old man won't want me running twin turbo's as a first car. How much would you reckon it would cost?
This is the twin turbo vl I am looking at http://perth.gumtree.com.au/c-Cars-V...AdIdZ258411568 (http://perth.gumtree.com.au/c-Cars-Vehicles-Motorbikes-Parts-cars-VL-RB30-TWIN-TURBO-W0QQAdIdZ258411568)
Its either that or I will look at detons commodore and try get that knock sorted.
Opinions?
Again sorry for all the posts regarding my rookieness regarding vl's.
Cheers

t28's are usually used as singles on 2.0l so i doubt 2 of them on a 3.0l will deliver that much power. i bunno
if you did want to change them would have to get new manifold and turbo, can be had for anywhere from 500 to 1500, then a tune for the haltec.

Just buy a car that is set up the way you want, VLs are money pits...and always have problems due to age, so just look at something that requires minimum alterations or heavy modifying for a first VL

Buy vl88's car, always looked nice when I've seen it.

Just wind the boost down... twin or not doesn't make a difference.

f*ck yeah, twin turbo setup on a VL for about $5k!
bargain......
Just make sure you get a respectable workshop to check the car, comp test etc, either way I'd be more inclined to spend that $5-6k on a tidy N/A calais if you're young and got your parents breathing down your neck about what can be done to your motor and what can't

yer 2 turbos doesn't mean twice the power mate. however it does mean twice the number of components could **** up.
