Hi my vl wagon desperately needs ball joints, tie rod ends and shocks/springs to have any chance of passing an upcoming roadworthy. I have started looking around and it seems that ebay has some good deals on ball joints and tie rod ends. Some being offered together as a package for around $70 delivered. Most have only a 1 year/20,000km warranty. the more expensive being a 3year warranty. What i would like to know is if anyone here knows the quality of these packages or where they are usually made as safety isnt something i want to F around with.. I want to buy some but i dont want to pay the extra for the more expensive ones if they are no better quality than their cheaper counterparts and still made in china or where ever anyway. Any feedback on these would be much appreciated. (or if you know anywhere other than ebay to get a good deal) preferably in brisbane. I also want to replace the shocks and springs at the same time. Theres a package on ebay which is a set of king springs super lows front and rear and monroe lowered gt gas shocks and struts to suit for around $600 delivered. Does anyone think this is good value and suited to a car thats just a daily/cruising car? Or is there someone doing a better package for the same sort of money elsewhere? Thanks in advance if you read all this and can help me out with some advice or info

Sorry don't know about the ball joints. I would get better shocks though, Monroe are very average quality. Pedders or KYB would be a better option It's worth doing the sway bar mount and link bushes at the same time with some sort of polyurethane bush. I've had good experience with SuperPro bushes, but others say Nolathane is just as good

zac320. can you tell me what seller that was from. theres a few different brands from what ive seen and as i said some wont offer the same warranty. is it the rubber boots on the ball joint that cracked or was it your bushes? if its the boot wouldnt that lead to dirt getting in with the grease and eventually drying them out.

Had a customer with a BA Falcon supply his own ebay balljoints... couple of weeks later he paid us again to replace them with reputable brand name ones.
