i have rung around everywhere to figure out if putting a vn-vr v6 into a gem like you see all over the joint is p plate legal, got no where and just wondering if anyone can answer me yes or no.
be really helpfull if someone can give me the power to wight ratio exactly or what the rule is now for p plate cos i know they always change.

nope carnt be done for a P plater the ratio use to be 125kw to every tone

Mate, I got told extractors on an otherwise stock RB30E wasn't P-plate legal... And fined.
So I'm going to say no.

You'd get reemed as an engine conversion is definately owning a modified vehicle for more power. You'd need engineers certs too, plus you'd be over power to weight.
You'd get raped because everyone has 5 people in a gemini on stockies with no springs and youll get pulled over.

yea u cant. p platers cant drive cars that have had engine transplants or modified 2 an extent...
a mate at work bought a lowlux with a vp v6 in it for his son to drive on his p's. had to sell it ... look up on vicroads... prob give you info on there... this was nsw though so vic might be bit easier
