Throw some pics up pretty keen to see this thing...
Won't be worth much to keep under wraps, it's not exactly a "collectable"
However if you did that you'd get back what you paid for it and then some but why not enjoy it ?

I bought a stockVN with 27,000kms on the clock, one owner with books, now has 39,000 after owning it for a couple of years.. Like yours mine is probaly worth more to me rather than to store and maybe make money off later ..I just did some minor mods to improved handling etc and just garage it when not using.
Dazz
P.S Do throw some pics up

My 2 cents worth.

Agreed. How can you possibly compare a base model with a HDT Brock? LOL.

Gutless??Mine from HDT had 196kw(now 215kw)I would not call 196 kw gutless in 87.Todys standards yes.But our other 5.0 litre wagon was a great work horse. And in todays market the old girl has fetched some reasonable coin. The Brock I will hang onto.
Cheers Marty
ps just my cents worth!

The HDT SS group A had 137kw, the HSV SS Group A had 180kw. What is yours and why did it have 196kw?

Calais sport wagon,This was HDT's workshop hack,We have the paper work that comes with it.There is another with 245kw,Not bad for an 87 car.

06-02-11, 22:34 GMT+10#20 don't forget that they changes the method of recording power outputs during that era and the 137kw was a lot higher in the former measure of output, around the 190 mark. As for the normal VL V8, that was ordinary.
