Hi guys i thought i would make a small complaint regarding this site , I mention many moons ago that COLEYZ story thing its still there hence it says THIS MONTHS FEATURE CAR for how many months do we have to see the same **** no offence to Coleyz and hes primo ride, But geez i try to search for stuff and it still has cars forsale from years ago it does make it hard especially when u have to browse page after page after page for what where after the search engine is not up to date and i cant believe people have to pay. The whole site is full of ads these days and yeah i know u need the money for ongoing costs etc . But even SAU have updated. Yes i know this site is awesome for engine info sometimes but the other half just makes me think. And no im not a new member ive been a member for a few years this is just a new Tag name. So please guys please put some heart back into this site. Whos with me on this one????

agreed BUT.......................... wots wrong with silver hair? Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

there are some threads on ct from 04 that are still very relevent, and constantly updated

There have been certain..... issues regarding content published on this site being used by authorities to prosecute car owners. Brett is looking at interstate cars to feature (QLD is in the process I believe) but it is not as simple as click and write. No one on the Admin / Mod team gets paid for any of this. You are probably searching using wide parameters. If you type "VL Turbo for sale" the search engine won't return anything due to every thread on the site have VL Turbo on it. Part of the reason threads are kept around and not deleted is because it is history. Big name VL sales / engine mods / guys trying to pick up guys that appear to be girls / mum's trying to pick up guys pretending to be her daughter........ The old threads on CT are awesome. You can't believe you HAVE to pay? If you had to pay you wouldn't be able to use the site. No one has to pay, we choose to pay to become a member. I paid for membership back in......2005 I think and do you know how often I have paid my "yearly fee?" Never. As for ads, What ads? The only ad I see is the banner up top. And as for "Updating the site", the reason CT is so user friendly is how simple it is. The presentation is neat and not over the top. It is the best forum set up in my opinion. LS1.com, SC and SW have nothing on CT for ease of use. So no, I'm not with you on this one.

I believe Charles has answered the question.... I can only add that being a paying member is the best $10/$20 you will spend. Like Charles I also havent paid since 2005 and would gladly pay again if SirGeo asked. Paying also gets rid of all the google ads Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

I used to spend hours of my own time on weekends doing feature articles for people like you to read. That's hours just in writing, then there is the photoshoot, the photo editing and so on, all whilst meeting time constraints with owners and meeting up at various locations away from my own area... all for people like you to read. Did I get paid for my time away from my family? No. I enjoyed doing it. There came a time when I said that enough was enough and I couldn't spare the time on this project. Initially I was offered help from many moderators and CT users to assist in photoshoots and doing articles, all but 1 person failed to come through with their promises. Then a few of the feature cars were targetted by local police and put off the road directly due to photo's published by me - It made me so sick that I instantly stopped doing it. It's not worth the hassle to the guys just so that someone can read an article or look at a picture. If CT is too boring for you... then what would you like to contribute?

Another thing, I don't think non paying members understand that by being a paying Member you have access to a whole "Members Only Section".... The Members Only section is where its at!

Stop bitching. Think of all the great information you have at the tip of your fingers for FREE, an excellent trader section where I am sure you have advertised a car or an item for FREE, spent countless hours reading the great write ups by the members (paying or non paying) and moderators also for FREE. Go buy a car magazine every month for $10, there are your featured cars. Oh and make an eBay account so you can trade on there, more money out of your pocket.

what about some nz cars for the featured car section cant see the cops clamping down on us kiwis and we also have far less restrictions as you aussies

shhhhhhh.. your not meant to tell them that it's not a regular yearly fee....... And yes, agree, if someone from NZ wants to take good photo's and help with articles, we would gladly publish and advertise it as a special NZ feature car... As for changing the way the forum looks.. It's been brought up on numerous occasions, but everyone likes the way it's set up, it's clear and easy to read. The reason why your search brings up old threads is because it's all kept as future reference, If you only want newer threads you can put in more specific search parameters such as dates of last post, sort results by date etc... As for the ads, need to pay for this somehow.. but registering gets rid of the bulk of them, and then being a member gets rid of almost all the rest... And as always, if you don't like it.. you don't have to use it... can't really say much else...
