advise on afm relocating to gktech intercooler

hi all wondering if anyone has relocated their afm to the cooler piping of a gktech no holes cooler i went to a mechanic and he said it wont work out right cos of the heat will melt the afm sound like a load of sht but if anyone hads done this with no probs let me know please with pics ive done it before with different piping different car with no probs
