Hey I've got a JATCO 4 speed with TCE 2,800 RPM stall converter. The box was apparently rebuilt while back with stage 2 shift kit and kevlar bands Not sure whats been done in terms of clutches etc but basically what I'm looking at is getting it fully manualised Where? What's required and what am I looking at? Does it just need a manual valve body installed or is there more to it? Nothing crazy, its just a street car pusing mid 200 rwkw Thanks

You can just install a FM Valve Body and hope the internals will last. 4th gear will still need to 12V activated. In order for the transmissions to survive and get the proper converter flow/lubrication etc it best to fit during a rebuild. Every shift will be harsh and these continual stress' quickly hurt the transmission and the Torque Converter. GZM in Melb can quote you on Parts Only to Drive In/Drive out.

Thanks man, sounds good GZM apparently did all the work on this box before, box is currently out of the car as well which makes it easier Would you guys recommend just leaving it as an auto or worth going fully manualised. It is just a street car but I do want it to be fun to drive and quick

It is just a street car but I do want it to be fun to drive and quick If GZM built the trans then all the Mods inc removing the OD Sprag have been completed. All Stage series and Full Manual Transmissions are built the same sans the upgraded internal parts. We rate the Stage II and III to 15psi of boost. Above this level late full noise 2-3 shifting occurs. You also can get runnaway internal pressures that cause grief. For true street and if your under 15psi then stay with the semi auto. We very aware of people passing off GZM and keas Transmissions that are not. All keas transmissions come with a detailed receipt that outlines what, where and when. They say imitation is best sort of Flattery.

GZM is the place to go, Goran & Zoran are top blokes and are really good on price... Got a Jatco rebuilt for my old Nissan Stagea a few years back and was tuff as nails.
