Hey Guys, thought i would start a thread on this and will add updates when i get more progress and parts. As most of you know my parther has a black vl calais,we have had it for probly 2 years now, seen it at keumu car show 2 years and of corse the mrs fell in love with it so 3 weeks later we went and picked it up for $3000,fresh gloss black re spray rb30 manual, looks a million dollars. After a while i wanted to get new rims for my calais so of course she got my old rims lol.apart from that we have not done alot to it. Ok...now for a while i have wanted do do a conversion,i have done the turbo thing on my calais, and i have always had a soft spof for the v8s.She wants to be able to drive it to work etc and have no problems,so it has to be reliable.thats the reason foe staying away from the turbo, and their is nothing more reliable than the 304/308. So i have been on the look out for a 304.went to have a look at a few and they were complete rubbish, happened to click onto turners on nite and seen a damaged VR SS,and best of all......A factory T5 manual,217km etc. Wend over to tauranga on monday to check it out,and it was exactly what i wanted,so i bidded on it on tuesday and ended up buying it,for a steel infact lol.got it back here last night, pulled the fan off because it was hitting the radiator and it started stright away and a sweet runner, can tell its been serviced regularly.i will take pics tomorow of the car etc and will be starting to wreck it this weekend. plan is to go all out and de loom the engine smooth it,weld everything up and make up an exhaust and a few other custom goodies to go onto it. SO WATCH THIS SPACE!!!!! p.s sorry to ramble on Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
