I just finished my brake conversion and after beding them in I have noticed the driver side pads are not siting flat on the rotor. they are siting on an angle so there is contact with the top of the rotor but not the bottom.
The wear from the pad should come down to were the yellow arrow is pointing. as you can see in the next photo
Has any one else had a problem like this? does any one know what causes this and how i can fix it?
Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

There is a mangled penis on your rotor.

Dunno if this will help or not, did you buy it as a kit? I bought my VT brake conversion as a kit for my VL, it came with bearings but one of them (driver's side) just wouldn't sit properly, it wouldn't sit flush - stuck out a couple mm, which mean that it made the hub and disc sit a bit further out - which meant that the caliper and pads over the disc was really tight (even without foot on the pedal the disc wouldn't rotate), i ended up just chucking VL bearings back in and it was fine), maybe yours had a similar issue with the bearings?

There 296mm rotors and calipers. All the bearings were in the box and it seems to bolt up fine. calipers bolt straight up to the strut without a bracket. Has me stumped, it dosent pull to the right or left when i apply brakes. Think ill take it to the brake shop.
