I have a 1987 vl sl n/a, and I am going to put on a t3t4 kit, 555cc injectors and 2 vl turbo fuel pumps, vl turbo ecu, and front mount (ebay). Also it will have a stainless steel 2.5 inch mandrel bent exhaust. By the time i will turbo the car it will have a reco head (turbo head), and metal head gasket with stud kit. plan to run 7-11 psi. any input will be great.

why does he need a fuel reg? the standard one is just fine. a t3/4 on that much boost doesnt sounds too unbelievable. 180rwkw is very achievable with factory turbo, frontmount and exhaust. Only thing is mate you won't be able to run standard turbo ecu with larger injectors. and instead of running 2 factory pumps run a single 044. More reliable and cost the same as 2 factory pumps and less lines etc

24-01-11, 22:12 GMT+10#13 You wont run kinda injectors other then the standard ones on the standard ecu. Unless its got nistune/tune

what do u mean by better? The only times you "need" an adjustable aftermarket reg is if you want to squeeze more fuel out of your system by raising the base pressure, which isn't the best thing to do anyway, or if the inlets of the reg become restrictive in size. with 600cc injectors the standard reg is fine if he cant splash out for one. I know because i ran mine for years with standard reg, until i wanted to go braided lines/fittings. But your ecu will definately need to be changed to a tunable one

spot on the money , why would he want to raise the fuel pressure if hes running a 550cc injector , hes not running massive boost by the looks of things , as nukz said standard reg is fine ..... i used one making 280rwkw
