Ive started building a turbo motor with the intention of creating 400+ rwhp with a GT35/40. Got my Bottom end back from the engine reconditioner today.
Bottom end specs are:
-Block bored, hoaned and acid bathed
-New welchplugs fitted
-Crankshaft polished and balanced
-ACL Race series main and conrod bearings
-Hastings piston rings
-Hypatech Liquid forged pistons (7.8:1)
-Spool conrods
-Standard VL Turbo oil pump

Update. Pistons, conrods are in the block and water pump is bolted on. Holden dosent stock the RB30et oil pumps any more and nissan wants an arm and leg for one. So im waiting for one to arrive from a Nissan dealer in the US.

Bit of an update. Oil pump drive was rounded off big time and ive decided to use an RB25det oil pump, so pistons and rods came out and the crank shaft went back to the engine reconditoner to have a Lewis engines crank collar fitted. Picked it up today and put it all togeather.
Next step is to save a few $$ so i can take the head up to Maatouks so they can work some magic and grab some ARP head studs and a Head gasket.
