I've noticed a lot of people are interested in fitting Convo pros to their VL's so i just thought I would share some information in the hope that it will help somebody out there. First and foremost i think it is very important for people to know that you cant get a Convo in a "holden pattern". This is perhaps the most misleading bit of information out there. They can either be purchased in a Chevy pattern or a Ford pattern. I have also been lead to believe that in times gone past you could purchase the wheels blank and machine your own stud bores but due to safety reasons this is no longer an option. Older Holdens (H-Series) on the other hand have a Chevy stud pattern but not the Commodore. The reason why i mention this is that it is physically possible to put a Chevy pattern wheel like a Convo onto a Commodore because the PCD is so close! Commodore is 5 X 4.724" and the Chevy pattern is 5 X 4.750" a difference of about 26 thou. Although this may not sound like much,to a machinist its a lot. By doing so you are stressing/bending your wheel studs and they may fail especially in high power applications. This is obviously very dangerous especially when drag racing. So if your going to do it, do it properly. I got my rear axles made to a Chevy stud pattern and got front hubs made up in Chevy stud pattern also. Now for offsets, there seem to be a lot of people asking. As far as offsets and backspacing are concerned you can get a way with 3 3/8 back space on the fronts (im talking about Convo pro street rims not drag front runners) but for the rears you pretty much have to shorten your diff in any given case. So basically its not as simple as just whacking on a set and bolting it on. Hope this helps somebody

I can get the hubs made in any stud pattern you require for $225 per hub. This hub allows you to run VT brakes and Chev stud pattern. They are a direct fit to the VL front stub axle and utilise the same bearings (new bearings not included)
