thinking about getting another vl, there old, not reliable, lack features, no technology, no aircon heater demister (most of the time) and thats just the base of the problems yet i somehow want another one, seems i havn't learned my lesson.. has anyone resisted the vl bug and have been out of the vl scene for ages or do you guys feel an attraction to them as i do? lol pointless thread but wouldn't mind hearing about ppl buying a vl after they had a problem ridden one.

I swapped my VLCT, which nothing in it worked except for the front two windows, for a minta S2 R3 GTS25t type-M, which had climate control, sunroof, DVD player and great furl economy. No more than a couple of months later, I sold it to project a VLT.. Sometimes I think to myself "WTF was I thinking?!" but I'm hoping it will be worth it in the end lol.

I love VL's, I own one but it isn't my primary choice as a daily driven vehicle, it's my project car and has been since day one. Having said that I know of some VL's that have served their owners real well and haven't missed a beat (both turbo and non turbo) and some that have been real headaches. I don't drive my VL's daily mainly for the fact that mine (when it was running) was very expensive to run and maintain due to poor fuel consumption, police scrutiny and the fact it was almost taken from me twice (stolen).

my vl is a ongoing 3year project.but yes reliability is a factor especially if turbocharged . ive chosen to put a 304 with some goodies in mine to give it a nice rumble. but its always wise to have a daily driver

Haha it's like looking at a piece of **** vl and knowing all of the things that are stuffed in it and how much work it will take to fix because you have done it before but getting it anyway because once it's done there will be nothing better !

I've owned 3 VL's. Still own the 3rd one. Had to buy something more discreet for a daily though. I don't think I'll ever get over the VL bug. I think I've had the VL bug ever since my first ride a VL turbo 16 years ago. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

I owned one for 10 years, sold it a few years ago. I'll buy another one one day, it will most likely be a genuine Walky. I'll mod the crap out of it and only drive it round the block 3-4 times a year. The rest of the time it will collect dust and cost me money, but I'll enjoy looking at it
