Hey guys and girls, Growing up all i wanted on my P's all i wanted was a canary yellow VLT as my dad would always tell me how good vl's where when he used to own a VLCT back in 1990(heres a pic of it and sold it just before i was born), And after seeing both my little brothers both owning VL's (16year olds and im 19, both are users of this site CVL304 and BRAD.VR.S) i so the other day finally i picked up one, i found it in the little alley way at the back of my mates house, it had been sitting there for over 2 years, it wouldnt start cause the battery was way to far gone, heres a pic of where it was parked My mate had no clue which house the owners lived at in the little appartment block so i did some door knocking and came across the owner and they where extremly happy to get rid of it as it was just sitting there with no use to them, and the guy who i brought it off his granddad owned the car since new! So a run down on the car, its a 1986 model berlina with around 226xxxKMs, its in stock immaculate condition, VK Calais wheels which im guessing it was optioned with, stock headunit but it was a little messy inside the boot and interior there was just magazines and crap that had just been left inside of it since it had been sitting there. So i cleaned up the interior and exterior and there was interesting stuff i found one of them being one of the VL Gregorys Manuals (Which will come in handy ) As you can see from the pics it needs a new front bar as its cracked and broken, same with the back one, aswell as a Left hand Tail light as it has water in it and i will be replacing it with a Berlina one, only rust in the car its underneath the rubber seal in the boot which is just little bubbles (which isnt really bad at all, considering how long it had been sitting there for!) the bonnet and nose cone aswell as the body around where the wipers are mounted the clear has started peeling, over all this was a great find, that im not going to complain about! My plans for the car, are clean up the things ive mentioned that are broken, get the bars resprayed with aswell as new red and white pinstripe, change the wheels to interceptors with crome nuts, crome trims and crome centre caps 15x6 Fronts 15x7 rears(Which i already have at home) proberly a set of low springs(nothing rediculous) disc brake 28 Spline rear with LSD, aswell as the bigger brakes for the front and that will do just for the moment! Then changing it to a turbo with og gear(IF I CAN FIND IT!) Stage 2 shift kit, and hope for around 170Kw, but still retaining the sleeper look as well as the standard look when you open the bonnet! Hope you like it and let me no what you think and i will keep you updated! I will have to get pictures of the interior! If anyone has any of the parts that i will need to replace like the tail light or front bar let me no thanks adam Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

hey man you can pick up aftermarket lights and stuff everywhere, just check the net. polish her up and get some good photos happening! good idea keeping the pinstripe. but you might need a bit more than stock turbo kit to make 170rkw but youl find that out with time! good work
