Has anyone fitted a B & M shifter to to the factory auto box, whilst using the factory housing. I got a pro ratchet shifter and want to use the standard housing, but not sure if i will know what gear it will be in. You need to be familiar with this particular shifter to understand! Cheers

Why would you want a B&M to suit a standard Auto? The B&M Shifter will require you up and down shift through every gear which wouldnt be good for standard box. Id think twice before stuffing around....

you dont have to manual shift all gears with a ratchet, you can still put it in D and drive as per normal... if you are meaning that you want to keep the console looking factory with just the shift lever visble, you will have to make a box to mount the shifter in and cut a hole in the floor so it sits low enough to fit under the console.

here mine JC-gmh makes these ones. there easy to fit and look awesome once in. Im going to run this on a standard gearbox in the begining till i get a built auto, you can still stick it in D and drive it as a normal auto. Its easy to use the shifters and know what gear you in you get used to it. cheers Luke

but as You said, You will have to familliarise Youself with the shifter to know what gear it is in ie. count the clicks.

even the pro ratchets are a pain in the ass to mount its not to bad mounting it , its setting the shifter up to grab all gears is where it gets tricky well it was for me and me mate ... Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

its probably best that i fit the Pro ratchet and its housing and get the console trimmed up, to cover up the cut outs etc... The red lever is to click into park and reverse!!
