Cause theirs was started by a mod and ours wasn't?
In all seriousness, I'm interested in the answer, cause I thought it was a great idea.

i understand if there has to be rules similar to the daily chat and random/jdm pics thread,
but WA should have due to the fact the Member's Lounge is mainly dominated by east coast members
being a member or non paying member should not effect if i can talk to blokes from here?

get the non paying members to pay the $10 and start your own wa chat/pic threads in the member areas.
If every section has their own off topic chat/pic thread, what's the point of members area?
If they wanna chew up the bandwidth, contribute tot he sites costs.. it's $10.. and although yearly.. when did you blokes last renewed
As for NZ.. their special.. they don't understand our english....

its not as though WA members are trying to steal or prevent CT from receiving membership monies, but due to WA being the isolated state, we are less inclined to post in the members section due to the closer ties we have with the WA members/non members. However disappointing this decision is, it still has its obvious valid points...
btw sir geo, when did you last renew your CT membership fee?

He owns the site. Pretty sure he would be paying alot more than a general membership fee.

LOL.
Sirgeo's reason appears to be okay.......but then you have to question why NZ get their own off topic thread (in all seriousness they too, shouldn't have one either, it's all about consistency you see).
Whilst I have suggested something like this many times, I don't really care if it happens or not - rules are rules I guess
But in all honesty, WA is a very 'close knit' section and it would feel nicer if we had our own "lounge" to kick back in, if it was in the members section....it just wouldn't feel the same - it's like having a room mate, as opposed to living on your own

talking about chewing up bandwidth, how about we have our own and you get rid of the dazza only forum?
or you just get rid of dazza? or ank? both of them do nothing but waste bandwidth
and as for the other post in WA section regarding this, well the reason that was started because this one was moved without me knowing

From dazza in the WA section
"This mofo right here own's this ****, each post you make costs him like $0.005... deal with it.
Let me say it again... DEAL WITH IT."

thats 2000-4000 posts right there
infact all this back and forth and closing and moving has probably used more of this precious bandwidth

I pay my membership fees every month.. when the fee for the server comes around
The members lounge was made as a specific area for off topic discussion, pics, sh|t stirring etc... if WA get a general one, every other state will request it and then, what's the point of members area?
And 90% of the time when there is a e-fight it originated in an under the radar off topic thread in a state section.. yeah most of the time from vic or nsw... but SA and WA have had their fair share of cat fights spilling over in to the other areas of the site..
NZ, another country, so they get different rules, and besides.. there's like 10 of them.. and i hate organising memberships with them as we always get ripped off with their crappy exchange rate..
Sorry guy's, but the mods decision is final.. no "specific" off topic discussion threads in the state sections.
If you guy's really want i'll make a sub section in the members area for WA residents only, locked to other members..
As for the Dazza section.. no one goes in there except daz.. I fear closing it down as it's the only area where he can vent his stupid goat pics... seriously, how much better has he been since that was created?
