Im looking to make a 3" dump pipe and am in between what material i should use. It will be getting ceramic coated i am not sure wether to do it as steam pipe making it rather heavy or will i get away with 1.6mm tube. I also have stainless V band clamps so am thinking of doing the whole thing in stainless. Whats your opinions. I know if i go mild i will have to use 309 SS wire to weld to the stainless. Also withh 304 0r 316 SS crack with the heat?
