Just wondering what does everyone set there rev limiter at. AVO said they set mine 8600rpm. I thought that might be abit to high. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Depends how long your planning on sitting it on th limiter for I guess. Probably 8500 for a balancd engine, 7500-8000 for standard engine. But just cause its set that high doesnt mean you need to test it every gear change.

Every engine is going to be different. If it stops making power at 6800 for example thetres no point in spinning it to 9000rpm. I try to avoid hitting mine all together as RB oil pumps don't appreciate too much limiter bashing

man that's a pretty impressive long motor you have, you really need to complement it with a decent turbo!

I was doing the most important things first like fuel & air. Once that's all in tune, I was going to upgrade the turbo. Slowly but surely lol.

8600rpm sounds extremely high and i don't think it'll be making power that high either. It all depends, but i wouldn't think you'd need to rev it out that much. As above, very impresive setup i'm sure it moves Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

I rang AVO today to have a chat with Lee. We both came to a conclusion that 7,000rpm would suit it well. Thanks for the input. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
