Ok my VL got defected in 2008 and needed a blueslip i let rego run out anyway. I plan to get it back on the road next year. My question is do the defects on car still need to be cleared aswell as the normal blueslip?? Any info would be great.

getting a blueslip for a vl can be a hassle with issues such as rust due to its age. Ask around before you just take it to anyone for a blueslip some workshops are more relaxed then others and will turn a blind eye for things like rust and poor bodywork.

Well i live in South West NSW. There no problem with rust and stuff like that. Im aware of how blue slips work. But if i took it there with my intercooler on it and they pass it will it still it come up as a defect from 2008 because it wasn't cleared by RTA?

you dont need to get the defects cleared if its out of rego. you just need a blue slip.

Once you get ur blueslips the defects are cleared, but dont forget they look at the stuff u were defeceted for anyway when getting a blue slip example,Too low, big wheels and ofcourse ur front mount which they may give u drama's for. Just ask around you'll be right
