I found this surge tank on ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/under-body-su...em 230b6e537f (http://cgi.ebay.com.au/under-body-surge-tank-suit-VL-commodore-/150515635071?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item230b6e537f) I am very concerned this setup will not work. It appears the tank is inline after the fuel pump so not really doing th job of a surge tank maintaining fuel supply to the pumps. Secondly, the return line back to the tank is in this same inline surge tank (under pressure box) that will allow fuel back to the tank. Would the fuel pressure force the fuel to the least restrictive path back to the fuel tank, rather than pressurising the fuel rail. I am concerned this will not work and thought id ask about before buying

I see what you are saying, the intank pump should keep the surgetank full, and at the bottom of the surgetank, the HP pumps should be drawing fuel from an always full surgetank, on top of the surgetank an overflow tapoff will return fuel to the fuel tank. The fuel return should go straight back to the fuel tank. I guess there would be a couple of different ways to set up a fuel system but, that one doesnt look right??? The HP pump is before the surgetank? How many times in a sentence can I say surgetank lol

Mate, If i were you id be going Red Star Fabrication under car surge tank for $300. You pay for the quality and you have the option of going 2 pumps if you ever need that much fuel its always there. Dont make the same mistake i did. Mine is fine for 300-350rwkw and is holding 300rwkw with one 044 but anything past 350 ill have to double up. So i will need to do so sometime in the near future and they look good. http://www.calaisturbo.com.au/showth...=237932&page=4 (http://www.calaisturbo.com.au/showthread.php?t=237932&page=4) Go about halfway down you will like them man. Pay the extra 'ONCE'.
