Hey guys, was going thru all my doors yesterday/today to try and get the windows working better, as the front ones weren't going up straight and the rears were really stiff. Managed to get the front 2 and the Right Rear working much better, but when I went to do the Left Rear, I wound it down and all the cables fell off the pulley. I found some instructions on here how to wind them back on, but i spent 2 hours on it and it still didnt work, got close but i kept ending up with a wire on the wrong side, and there's a kink in it too which may be causing a problem? So my question is, would someone on here (from Auckland) know how to fix it and be willing to come and give me a hand with it? It got to the point where I was getting really pi55ed off with it, swearing at it doesn't seem to work either. thanks for your help guys!

they're manual ones Dave. yea I found instructions on how to do it (sort of), its just real confusing getting the wires around the reel, managed to get one of them round but when i did the other one, it just unwound itself when i tried to wind the window down. should i be trying to wind the cables on that reel - with the window down or with the window up?

dont worry about where the glass is positioned, just get the cables wound and working right, then you can position the glass

does that mean i need to detach the cable from the glass itself?

From memory the rear windows are attached to the wires via two little plates that are sandwiched together with two little bolts. Simply remove one of the bolts from the plate, and loosen the other one enough that it swings freely and the window will be free!
