Hey guys, just after some advise. Sorry if this has been covered, i did a quick search. I have an original VL Calais with a 304, thats been converted to run dual fuel. It is my daily driven car, and I'm looking at restoring it and doing it up a little with some mild engine mods. Would it be worth getting rid of the fuel system and running straight LPG? I'm after 300hp ish.. Or should i get rid of the LPG system? Cheers Danny

I've been thinking the same with my VL when it comes time to rebuild the motor. I'm in Newcastle and finding a decent LPG place isn't that easy. There's a few around but I haven't any glowing reports about any of them. I've only just replaced the inlet manifold too, and from what I've found out it would need replacing again, apparently gas needs a single plane manifold, factory is dual. Keen to hear any info you find out. I'm a way off a rebuild so haven't looked too much into it as of yet.

just found this on boostedfalcon.net speak to Jakes performance in the ACT as they have done a few big hp LPG powered cars and he may be able to help you. not sure if that was the place i saw the f truck at though. *edit* just found some more on boostedfalcon.net there is a tuner in canberra who does heaps of lpg work. jakes performance. he knows so much its rediculous. he's got a big block in his f truck with a turbo the size of your head with 3 convertors. done a twin turbo set up on a crewman and his wifes vt, both v8's on gas. he has a twin convertor system in his eb with a standard factory au lpg engine putting out 260kw i think. he double tapped the tank. said with a re-build he's aiming for 500kw on gas. imagine a back fire at full noise with that power. haha.
