Hey just thought i would post this up i just bought a VL calais 308 and there a few things i wanted sorted... My main problem is that when it starts the starter keeps going and if i turn the car off the starter is still going even with the key right off, the only way to stop it is to disconnect the battery... Note when i reconnect the battery the starter does not start again until i turn the key again? the other thing i was wondering is roughly the value of the vehicle it is an original series 2 V8 calais

sounds like a stuck solenoid, or maybe 'cos you need a 304 starter hehehe. Just for reference they are 304's from VK Group A onwards, not 308's. But seriously, sounds like a sticking solenoid.

on the starter motor, take off the Purple wire and put a multimeter on it set to volts. make sure it only has power when you turn the key all the way. if it does, its a starter problem, if its got power on more, its your ignition barrel.

Depends completely on condition. If it's a low k's orig stocker in perfect condition people will still pay 8-9k for them. If its pretty average in all aspects, you'll be lucky to get more than 1500.
