Hey all just a quicky, im currently in the market for a vs senator there are 2 local ones for sale in my area but i cant make up my mind. Originally i wanted a 215 but there is also a 185 manual one for less than half the price with only 90,000 kms on it. Both are the same color and trim the 215 has 180,000 on it and its and auto. My question is, is it worth getting the 185 in immaculate condition for less or am i wasting my time and just fork out for the 215??

I wouldnt pay double for a 215 stroker.. sounds like you could build a fresh 355 bottom end and come out ahead, money wise.. slap a 215i sticker on it if it helps u sleep better after that :P

The 185i manual will flog the 215i with 180000kms. I have been in a 215i and was very unimpressed, they were powerful 15 years ago not anymore. Spend the cash you save on the 185i motor

Spend the cash you save on the 185i motor you must have driven in a pretty gutless 215i then. I recently (this yr) had a 185i Senator and 215i GTS and there is no way the 185 would come close to the 215. HDT5.0 good to see you went with the lower km car, good luck with it

Nice, I would have bought the 185 too, the 215s still need a lot of money spent on them to make them go well
