I've been quoted similar prices for cat back systems for my v6 stato. Just wondering if there's any real difference between a lukey system and the redback system? The lukey is $40 cheeper. They are both just under $400 new. Anyone know of any ups or downs with either set up?
Also, should I go one muffler or two if i'm after a nice note with minimal drone?
Thanks for any help

Get neither, V6's sound horrible enough without an exhaust

yeah id have to agree v6's are homo with exhaust's and will do nothing but drone.both are just as good as each other.why bother dave set it up with some nice wheels and add tidy bits ect and go for look rather than performance unless your gonna turbo or charge it its still gonna be slow being a stato and v6.

I'm just looking for something to do with my car. I'm shopping for rims at the moment. 17-20inch. Roh mantis, internationals, cv8z, vy ss, gts , etc. Itching to improve it somehow. Drives sweet already

Please leave the standard exhaust, maybe do a twin dumpy style tip if your dying to mod it?

I was thinking about just putting twin chrome tips on it but I don't want it to be wanky. Definately don't want to look like one of those tools with a huge tip on a stock exhaust/car.
Sprigzy it's a vs series 2 Stato. Botanica. It has a caprice front and rear, bigger brakes on the front, trans cooler, new vx trans with 11thou k's, near mint interior, woodgrain, everything works....Just a neat car. A mechanic owned it since 99. I was looking a vx berlina but the price was right with the statesman.

if i were you id just drop it abit, put some nice wheels on it,tint and just cruise it.if your doing exhaust do complete with extractors not just cat back and cold air intake ect otherwise dont bother.

oh and it is lowered a bit. Just enough to tuck the tyres under a tad. Can't be bothered doing more than cat back so I might just leave it. Just looking for wheels at the mo. Might think about darker tint later...I'll post some pics up soonish
