well the car is now tuned
still a couple of dramas i have o fix
car is hiting a wall in power above 20lb
will be changing the exhaust on it 1st to see if that fixes it
only has a 3.5"dump pipe off the turbo and theres still a cat in the system
the cat is coming out and will put a 4" dump of the turbo over the next couple days
hopefully that fixes it
was going to put my complete 5" exhaust on it but theres going to be a bit of mucking around doing that
if the 4" dump and removing the cat doesnt fix the problem then ill look at putting a bigger cooler on it to
might need to redial in the cams also as they dont seem to be working to what there supposed to, power is nosing over way before redline, cams have a working range of 4000-8500rpm
as for power, it made 525hp @ 20lb then hitting the wall, only picked up about 7-8hp at 25lb
will sort the exhaust and cams out over the next few days then run it back up and see what happens
but 525rwhp at only 20lb still with alot to go sounds very promising

will still put the 4" dump on it tho but definitly removing the cat
that part of the exhaust was also damaged by the previous owner so its a little flat underneath, ive got 3.5" stainless pipe here ready to fix that, just gotta go get some 4" to do the dump

one of the apprentices at my work has what seems to be a similar setup to urs and is making a smidge more than that , and has a 3.5in exhaust., with cat a muffler too.
so id try a few other things before changing it.
but none the less , job well done. long time coming mate , go and race it now

then going to redegree the cams as pretty sure there not right
i think the cat would definitly be a restriction tho
the car had been sitting for quite a while plus a bit of oil went thru the exhaust from me not cutting the fittings down in the turbo
sounds awesome tho
pity because you can tell its got some balls now lol
im sure once the cams are 100% perfect, restriction all gone, it should be pretty damn healthy with near 20degrees timing into it and 30lb

i think that if we are able to get it making power all the way to 8000-8500rpm by getting the cams all setup perfectly, fixing the restrictions it should go over 600rwhp on 20lb
i havent been able to give it a hit yet
still not registered and started pulling the exhaust off not long after i got it home
only done a 2nd gear pull but not sure what revs i was at, got to finish hooking up the speedo and tacho lol

4" dump pipe is all done and finished
definitly sounds a little different with the bigger pipe on it
its now 4" pipe from the turbo back down under the car to the gearbox xmember so its fairly long now
ive also made it so it actually is sitting up a bit higher than what it was with the 3.5" system
want to try and get the cams all checked and fixed if needed by saturday and run it back up again
really keen to see what it can crank out!!
