Basically looking at putting a decent rear end in my car. plans are 300rwkw and a 10second time slip, ill be happy with a high 10 3500rpm converter. will be grabbing a set of street slicks. rear and upper trailing arms have been boxed and new bushes through out. upper arms are going too be swapped out for some adjustable units. now atm its got ****ty cut down 28spline axels with a minispool. works well but i cant see it lasting, nor am i prepared to trust it. mcdonalds racing bros gave me a quote of Moser 31 spline axles in stock $795.00 a pair full spool 465.00 is this over kill for what im after? i cant see me breaking a set up like that ever. who else sells axels and spools? are these prices decent? or should i just find a decent set of 28's throw them in shutup and be happy with them any advice on what others have used and what they paid etc thanks

You shouldn't have to worry about touching it again with moser 31's and a full spool. Prices seem pretty good.

considering you'l be looking a $2500 for a converted 9inch for a commodore new, those prices are pretty good

Your 28 spline diff might be alright with 300rwkw, but with the parts you listed you shouldn't have to worry about it for a long time

You still going to drive it on the street? I am getting old so I would say a 31 spline TruTrak centre instead of the spool.

28 spline borgy and late model commodore $1550 inc delivery.. it aint cheap. 31, 35 spline etc are custom ordered and I don't have a price. I have one in my VX and it comes a very close second behind brakes as best mod. I'll have some vids of the VX over the weekend at a skidpan day. I'll do a few flick turns and stuff, see if I can rip a nut on the front left and right.
