Calder Nov 20th.....

Guys for those of you who are interested in racing Nov 20th at Calders Spring Horse Power Challenge you'd better get yor entries in before Oct 15th...all entries after that will incure a late fee..this is a good chance to get some of the heavy hitters down to Vic and see what they can do...so lets call out to Anthony Matoouk, Jim Whitehurst, Alan Rajab, Daniel Camilleri, Vic Jet30r, John AIR747, and many many more...there are plenty of other classes for everyone to fit in so hurry up and enter as we need more of these big events...i am throwing $3k at a Pro Radial class...go to the Calder website download your enrty and enter...$200 incl 5 crew.... Calder Park 20th November 2010 - Spring HORSEPOWER Challenge Classes Win R/up • Super Street (11.00– 13.99, DYO) $1500 $750 (Includes all vehicles in this ET range) • Super Eliminator (10.99 – 9.0 DYO) $2000 $1000 (Includes all sedans and altered’s in this ET range) • Top Eliminator (8.99 and faster DYO) $2000 $1000 (Includes all sedans and altered’s in this ET range) • Supercharged Eliminator (8.50 and faster DYO) $2000 $1000 (Includes all Supercharged Sedans Rail’s and altered’s in this ET range ) • Nostalgia (DYO) $1000 $500 (Includes all vehicles such as hot rods and muscle cars up to HQ & XY, ie 1974) • Real Street (late model real street cars DYO) $1000 $500 (Includes all late model GM, FORD, Nissan, BMW, Etc. All vehicles must run DOT street tyres – NO SLICKS, full exhaust, no nitrous, blower and turbo if factory fitted, no chassis/four link cars , UNLEADED fuel) • Mod Bike (DYO) $1000 $500 (Includes all bikes racing on a DYO format) • Pro Street (Pro Tree, Large tyre – back half cars allowed – any engine combo) $4000 $1000 (Includes all three quarter chassis vehicles running tyres 12" or wider, blown or aspirated – no full chassis) This class will be run on a Chicago shootout format for the first three elimination rounds with the points leaders going into the finals (ie, most wins from first three elimination rounds) • Modified Street (Pro Tree, Small tyre – no back half/chassis cars – any engine combo) $4000 $1000 (Includes all vehicles retaining standard chassis, with tyres not exceeding 12 x 29.5, blown or aspirated) This class will be run on a Chicago shootout format for the first three elimination rounds with the points leaders going into the finals (ie, most wins from first three elimination rounds) PLUS NEW….• Kevin Dennis Motors - PRO Radial (Pro Tree, NO Full CHASSIS CARS) $2000 $1000 This class will be run on a Chicago shootout format for the first three elimination rounds with the points leaders going into the finals (ie, most wins from first three elimination rounds) Link for entry in next post......

the link doesnt work is there an entrant list somewhere? if you get any of the big sydney cars down or even the rajab race car il be there as a spectator and im sure a hell of a lot more from this site will im dying to see maatouks up close

a list of some of the big names that are coming will probably strike more interest for spectators i see 16 doorslammers are gonna be there which will be sick but any other big names from the modified scene?

Calde are currently working on displaying a current entry list so keep checking there website but i can assure you there are already plenty of heavy hitters from the mod scene already entered...Dom Luppinio TT Mustang, Ali Sead Capri, Pistol Black Turbo Camaro, Frank Mamone Outlaw 10.5 Chev Nova gone 6.70's..and plenty of the APSA guys are entering so should be som e real fast and competeive racing.

sounds like its gonna be a tough meet, il probably come down keen as to see the rest of the list, if anyone comes across it on the calder site make sure you post it in here

Guys, there's 6 days to go to get your entries in to take advantage of the $200 entry, after the 15th late entry is $450..... Should be a great day!!! Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Save yourself 250 by entering before Friday. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

This was done to encourage people to enter early, which makes it easier to plan an event, rather than having people rock up on the day wanting to race.... Sydney Dragway have 2 meetings coming on 16th & 17th October and 30th & 31st October, both events are 2 days of racing for $150 Can you give a descent reason as to why this event is $200 for 1 day and then blows out to $450 five weeks before the event is on?

I already explained the reason for the price increase in a previous post, as for the $150 entry for Sydney, they aren't paying prizemoney for the lower brackets....
