hey there all, since I have been using this site for quite some time, I thought it was about time I put up some photos and info on my VLCT. After owning two VL's before, a Berlina and a SL Turbo, I wanted to go "all out" and get myself a genuine 5spd Calais Turbo. Months I searched and searched but nothing came about in Perth, so I looking around interstate and managed to find a non genuine turbo calais 5spd with all the running gear off a Turbo model, with the VY sig rims I couldnt have asked for much more Got it transported over and as soon I saw it I was disappointed, nothing was working and it wasnt starting. Drove it home, barely and got to work on it after replacing the battery, putting it on pursuits and generally tidying it up, took it over the pits to get licensed, to my dismay it was missing the flywheel cover and leaking oil (on the inspector) whacked the sigs back on and got it passed, got some plates, I thought good idea for xmas present plus having a VL and custom plates work well after realising that it was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to uncomfortable on 19's, and Raptors ITL 555 being my favourite CT, I found a set of polished calais rims with walls from another member for a good price and sold the Sigs, and painted my side skirts black pics from a cruise and since then, just kept it, cleaned it up by painting the moulds asteroid, and fixing any other stupid VL problems that come along most recent anyway thats my pos Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

thanks guys, especially you SIroller since you have such good taste in cars the interior looks better in the pics, its faded and too many burns from the old owner, i tried taking the seats out to bring the colour back into the fabric, which didnt work because they wouldnt come if i end up keeping it ( which is more and more likely now) ill buy a boost tee from ebay http://cgi.ebay.com.au/TURBOSMART-NE...em 2c5759fa20 (http://cgi.ebay.com.au/TURBOSMART-NEW-BOOST-TEE-MANUAL-BOOST-CONTROLLER-NEW-/190444075552?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2c5759fa20) wind it up to about 11-12 and go from there and keep cleaning it up in the process

check your vac lines.. lol i installed my boost gauge ages back. and the car was only boosting to 5ish. couldn't figure out wtf was going on. the line that i cut into and put a t piece in already had a t piece in it further down the line and when i pulled it so i could fit my boost gauge i obviously pulled the line that comes off of the t piece off. reads perfect now.
