Congrats Anth The car had gearbox issues from the first run of the day, but after pulling the box out and repairing it all at the track, it pays off in the end Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Nice ! I remember when the HKS R33GTR ran a 7.57 @ 177mph, and i was wondering if a vl would ever be quicker, there's my answer well done boys!

This car just never ceases to amaze me. Well and truly smashed the record and by all accounts it still has plenty left to go. I can't wait to see it sorted and running to its true potential. Congrats to Anthony and the boys down at Maatouks. This is very healthy for the scene. Not sure if this is true or not and i don't want to start rumours but i was told the gearbox is having difficulty handling the power the engine is now making. Not sure if this is the case, just what i have been told. Once again great to finally see some VL's deep into the 7's and once Anthony makes the switch to full rubber it will definately be a joy to watch.
