hi guys raced my old mans vl wagon running a 308,had steet m/t tires,but i didnt even test drive before i went to the track,lol,fastest time was 14.924 as was only c bracket got 2nd place and was my second time down meremere track, the first time i raced there a few years back i took out fwd class in my fwd gtx , now im hooked,got good prize for second tho 150 cash engine oil,some 6x9s and a mean trophy,everyone i went down to drags with was surprised like me,ten bloody races later a i finally get to have a beer,mmm was good too, . . . Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

I saw this there ! Are the wheels on the back widend ? where did you get them done, want a set for mine ! Did you see a big truck parked in the middle of the pits ? With a yellow rod behind it ?

Yeah the front was silver or in primer isn't it? Kinda like the whole 'understated' look of it though !

Yeah, it was the only vl at the show that was racing, the only other was a ice blue vl with grp a but i dont think it was a 8.. Cant wait to get out there in my wag!

The hybrid theory went out the window though, cars were mixed and matched were still racing!

Yeah you would think so, I don' know why the wanted to change the rules! I think there was other rules like no avgas too !

oh thanks for clearing that up,i didnt even no the rules of the day but my old mans mate talked me threw it,then he red lite on hes first run and i made it to the finals i was happy with that,learn from the best i guess.lol

Lol, yeah Wayne Grimmer when he did that 9 was frickin amazing ! twisting it sideways half track and no traction and still did a 9.32 !! Hemi power huh, and its still n/a and its his daily driver !!
