Hey all, just recently converted my vl to turbo, just starting to work on the exterior. Doesnt look like much at the moment, but I work on it any chance i get.
Originally got the car for $800 with 11months rego, it ran ok, but no power. First thing it needed was new cat convertor and muffler, got redback 2.5 sports exhaust system and cat for $550 new.
Got a group 3 bodykit for $400, just needed a respray(doing that at the moment).
Then replaced coolant temp sensor plug, then while in conversion stage found out the lift pump died and the intake plenum had no gasket.
Bought whole stock vl turbo conversion kit for $600(stock turbo, new braided lines, reco vlt ecu, dump pipe, compressor to dump pipe, turbosmart bov, fmic and piping(not using). Bought vlt injectors for $250.
Got the vlt injectors cleaned and flowed, the stock low mount manifold machined and avo stage 2 fmic installed.
Heaps and heaps of work still to do, ill keep posted.
Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
