Ok guys need some help mega quick as my car aint going anywhere and its my work wagon. Short story is the rear of my car hit a conrete curb sideways and shunted my diff to the left. the rim was screwed so i threw on the spare, but it is rubbing up the guard friggin heaps. How do i get the diff realigned to centre??

Sounds like a bent panhard rod to me (done that myself). If you can get another one it's actually very easy to swap out.

Usually the first thing to bend, is the panhard rod. As hdtgts said it is a very easy to replace. Hooning in the work buss eh,

I saw what happened from the railway station, most likely a bent panhard rod as it is the only part that controls side-side movement of the diff. 2 min job to swap, just make sure you tighten the bolts with the weight of the car resting on the axle (ie with the wheels on and not jacked up) otherwise it will give the bushes a hard time.

yeah sounds like panhard rod is bent , can be a little bit tricky to get out some times as they can be seized in there i know mine was when i changed it

haha yes that is a yellow wagon!! http://www.calaisturbo.com.au/showthread.php?t=204262 ---> more pics ---------- Post added 27-09-10 at 21:57 ---------- lol getting sick of continual problems from the wagon atm, now i think its the gear box playing up... or the clutch.. dont want to risk driving it 10 or so km to town.. horrible crunching noise. was planning to upload the photos alot earlier, but after an incident at work involving a 4 inch nail through my finger.... my typing wasnt up to speed! Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
