Well Hello Everyone... Now before we go into if "walls are gay" "only should be for muscle cars" blah blah blah... Regardless Each person can do whatever they want to there car you didnt buy it so keep your opinions to your self What i want to talk about is this... Explain how The police tell us it destroy the integrity of our Tyres where it passed through VIC ROADS KEW PITS and even the great ANGELO CURIC and his colleges passed with a fresh set We are not here to talk about Tyre Profiles or load ratings as we all know 95% of us are sitting on too big of rims or we dont have the correct load rating what we are here to talk about is the process and legality of "walling" a tyre in it self.... For anyone asking who and what and minor details... I obtained this letter from my brother which he got from Dennis - The Owner and founder or INSTANT WHITEWALLS Now.... Discuss Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

i loved my white walls when i had them on my vx, the only thing that ever turned me off getting them, was that i was costing me a fortune in defect's.

whered you get the info? unless its on a vicroads letterhead or there is an official statement released its heresay. ---------- Post added 30-08-10 at 11:48 ---------- what i mean by that is carrying a printed photo of what you have there in your car won't change a TMU offficer's decision.

SIroller is deadright re heresay and that piece of paper being worth zip it doesn't explain whether the tyres in question were factory whitewalls or aftermarket and if aftermarket were they stuck on or ground and painted on doesn't explain whether the load rating etc was still on the tyre wall lol at "The Pitts" the guy can't even spell incl the name of the Barrister 'Fairfield' or 'Fairfiled' ???? the letter is simply heresay observations, of course Vicroads can't approve aftermarket whitewalls persay as the process can vary from dodgy to ok and i doubt there is an Australian Standard applicable to the process. And by the time there is an AS the whole thing will have gone out of style anyway it seems completely ridiculous to me to be fighting some war over a coloured strip on a tyre that: 1. costs you extra to have applied and 2.may compromise your safety esp when as you state the tyres may be oversize too etc 3. is just some weird automotive fashion statement anyway we have asked in other CT threads about whitewalls for proof that they are legal as claimed in the threads previously but that 'proof' has never been forthcoming, now or then

Thre is a difference in the state of Victoria between "Road Rules" ( regulated by VicRoads ) and "Road Laws" ( regulated by Victoria Police ). Thats where the differce is.
