ok so my calais' windows recently died on me, but were always pretty slow anyway. so I was thinking, if I got them fixed by an auto electrician. would it be worth to also purchase some used window motors, re condition them myself for him to put in ? or cheaper/around the same price to just get them reconditioned all together by them? (I've seen the thread on how to do all this but I really doubt my skills in this area)
any suggestions welcome. cheers

Was this the thread you looked at? http://www.calaisturbo.com.au/showth...=window+motors (http://www.calaisturbo.com.au/showthread.php?t=112866&highlight=window+motors)
I'd double check your motors. I had a similar problem where the windows stopped working. After checking the motors with a 12 volt battery I found out it was the center console switch.

yeah that was the one, I'm pretty certain its the centre console thats stopped them from working, but I was thinking, if I'm going down to an auto elec to get that fixed I was also going to get them to make the windows run faster also(they run reeeeaally slow) and a rear window sags about 8mm leaving a gap for rain to pass though also! I hate this!
