Hi Guys,
Its a bit of a different type of unrelated/sort of related question :
Will VB, VC, VH, VK or VL strut top bolt up to VT or VX struts ???
Heres why: I am putting a 253 and M21 into a KE38 Corolla and other ppl have used early commo struts to convert to 5 stud wheels and larger brakes. The only issue others have had is that commo springs are too stiff ( not going to be an issue with the weight of a V8 in mine ).
I want to use VT twin pot brakes due to wanting to trackday the car. Out of ease and cheapness ( hey I'm maltese ), I would like to get complete VT struts and use the 3 bolt hole early commo strut tops.
Any pics or comments would help before I waste money on VT struts that might not fit at all.
Plan B will be to fit early commo struts with the conversion kit.

What does not fit ? is the shaft :
1. size larger or smallers
2. Different shape
I know that both VB-P and VR-X both use a 6" dia spring.
Has anyone tried doing this before ?

I know that the parts are different, But I need to know if they will bolt up.
This will also be of interest to anyone wanting to do a cheap VT brake upgrade.
Buy 2 s/h VT struts and change over the shocker tops and lowered springs rather than dishing out cash for the conversion kit.

Please help:
here is my research:
Corolla Tops
Early Commo Tops - i know these are the same
Late Model Commo - I know these are different
What I want to do is :
compress the spring on a VT strut, undo the dampner centre bolt and swap out the whole top, then do some small mods to fit into a corolla....
HELPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
