whose got em? Spoke to a certifier today who says I'm going to need two of them. Bugger. Anyone know where I can find the rules about the loops - I just want some more info to make sure I do it right. As far as I know they need to be constructed from 50x6mm metal strapping, and located with 150mm of the universal joints. Any more info you got would be great.

yes must be made of 50x6mm steel and must do a complete loop right around the drive shaft . also must be bolted throught the floor with four bolts that must be of a certain size but been a little while now so cant remember sorry.and also must have large washers on the inside of the floor. ill try get some pics up of mine but its kind of in a million pieces at the moment but yeah ill see what i can do.

Danny; I spoke to the guy you recommended. (Good bloke, very helpful) He said because it wasn't a turbo driveshaft (is there actually any difference between a 3.0 and turbo shaft?) and because of the significant power increase it was necessary to have them. Hayden; if you can get a pic that would be great. Did you need a front loop? The certifier said I may be able to modify the front gearbox member (?) (looks like a smile he said!!), but he wasn't sure if it was in the correct place or not.

I made some driveshaft loops for my hotrod when i was building it, wasnt to hard just cut a thick wall pipe in half an added some flat steel to make it an oval shape. Then just bolted it on.
