hey guys/girls, just thought i would put some project photos of my 1972 datsun 1200 coupe. i bought this car for $400 as my first car, it was in pretty bad condition, with heaps of rust. over the past 2-3 years i have removed all the rust and replaced with sheet metal. the engine has been fully machined and ballanced to race specs, I have made a custom interior for the car but has not been finally instaled as the profect is not finshed. i now plan to use the car as a street legal track day/ hill climb car as i now have my VL calais turbo as my daily driver. i have done all the work my self and plan to finish it before the 2010 tassie power cruise. I am painting the car in a two tone lime green over gloss black combo, the engine bay is now painted and the front suspension is in powder coat, the car is fully under bodied and sound deadened here are some photos so far, i will keep you posted as the project get closer to completion. when i first bought the car. after my first paint. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
