need help bolt snaped in bonnet hinge

hi i need som help i bought a calias and the bolt in the bonnet hinge snapped in if i take off the panle can i see the other side of the bolt need help asap going for roadworthy soon

are you talking about the bolt that holds the hinge to the body? the one you cant see? goodluck with that! you dont get much more space if u take the 1/4 panel off.

to assist you and others pls don't just write your questions as one very long sentence we have a tech section with different areas for engines, bodywork etc, pls put your post in the appropriate section and NOT all in the VL turbo section pls use spellcheck too, your flange thread is a shocker

take the panel off and drill a hole into the bolt fromt he other side then put nut and bolt into it okay azamat Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

can ya get a mig torch at it? bit of heat sometomes helps, build a bit of weld up on it if you can and then try locking pliers on the weld, good luck

i have my car stripped down atm so its easier for me cause mine doesnt release at the moment but if you have the bumper off and radiator out you can kinda crawl in to try pop the bonnet from in there if you can get the radiator out from under the car? would be quite impossible though... just a thought... dont hate on me lol

i have the same problem the drivers side bonnet hinge bolt snapped i can still open bonnet so is it just as easy as pulling the guard off and using a easy out ??? ---------- Post added 05-02-11 at 20:14 ---------- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4BFUfGKU_ts if u have a welder/oxy handy
